Childhood of Virat Kohli:- 

                                               Kohli was born on 5 November 1988 in a Punjabi family in Delhi, his father's name was Prem Kohli, a lawyer by profession, his mother's name was Saroj Kohli and she was a homemaker, an elder brother (Vikas Kohli) and He had an elder sister (Bhavna Kohli). His mother says that when he was three years old, he had taken up his bat and started playing cricket with his father.

Kohli grew up in the street of Uttam Nagar and studied at vishal Bharti Public School. Seeing Virat's performance, his neighbors told him that he should not waste his time playing cricket in the street but should play on a big scale or he should choose the profession of cricket.

So his father got him enrolled in Delhi Cricket Academy when he was 9 years old, most of the people in India love cricket but cricket career is very risky in those days and maybe even today. There are very few people who want to make a career in the field of cricket.

Virat Kohli's Cricket career:- 

                            Kohli started his cricketing career in October 2002, when he was featured in 15 matches when he first played cricket for the Polly Umrigar Trophy in 2004. He became a member of U-17 cricket and then played for the Marchin Trophy in a four-match series. And made more than 450 runs.

    Death of father:-

                                  Everything was going fine! But suddenly his father fell ill and died after a brain stroke, this was the most difficult time for Virat and his family, this had a great impact on him. He was so depressed, but he never lost his spirit. He said that his father helped him a lot to achieve his dream. He says that his father always plays cricket with him.

Virat's Success:- 

                In July 2006, he was selected in the Under 19s and had his first tour in England and in this tour, he played three matches and scored 105 runs.

In March 2008, he became the captain of the Under 19 matches and played his first match in Malaysia and gave his best.

In this match, Kohli was selected for the match against Sri Lanka in 2009, when he got a chance to play for the Indian cricket team. Finally, he got a chance to play when Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar got injured in this match and showed his brilliant performance and scored a half-century and India won the match. After this match, he did not look back and set many new records and won honors.
